Planned Parenthood (PP) has certainly been in the news as of late. The videos by the Center for Medical Progress have exposed an extremely sadistic side of PP that most people outside of the Pro-Life Movement never knew about.
Now there are cries from so many people, even presidential candidates like Ted Cruz, to de-fund PP. One presidential candidate said PP isn’t all bad, but he is against abortion. On some level, at least 17 presidential candidates are decrying the PP abortion/harvesting agenda.
As an evangelist and a civil rights voice, a Black post-abortive mother born into a pro-life family, I’m sounding the alarm.
What many people don’t understand is that if you are willfully killing pre-born babies and even born alive babies, and are actively working to expand that aspect of your business then you’re willing to do anything, even breaking the law, to make more money. That’s the legacy of PP founder Margaret Sanger. Thanks to her, PP is America’s largest abortion provider and apparently a major harvester of human body products.
Abortion is an intrinsic evil; It only stands to reason that any organization involved in abortions would also be involved in other evil acts.
Although many of the programs PP administers sound good on the surface, like the harvesting of baby body parts for “research,” they must be looked at under the microscope of their overall anti-procreative philosophy.
As American Life League noted on their STOPP website:
The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) has, since 1970, pushed for sex education in public schools. In 1986, its president, Faye Wattleton, stated that PPFA had established a goal of getting kindergarten through twelfth grade sex education mandated in every school district in the nation. Planned Parenthood sees sex education as a way of indoctrinating our children with PP’s philosophies-philosophies that include the acceptance of abortion and deviant sexual practices, philosophies that are in direct opposition to the teachings of most churches in this country.
As it stands now, PP receives over half a billion, that’s right, half a billion, of tax-payer dollars through Title X Family Planning grants. This is the figure that gets thrown out when most people discuss defunding PP. Yet it is a very subtle as yet attack on natural human sexuality, procreation, marriage and family.
Consequently, what most people don’t talk about and what too many are unaware of are the additional millions of dollars, such as over $5 million according to Life Dynamics, they receive in grant monies for their educational programs, like teen pregnancy prevention, sex education, abstinence, and other such programs. They sound like good programs until, as I stated earlier, you look at them in context to their philosophy –“a way of indoctrinating our children with PP’s philosophies-philosophies that include the acceptance of abortion and deviant sexual practices.”
Another report states that the Office of Adolescent Health (OAH), which is under the Department of Health and Human Services, just gave PP of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands $18.75 million in federal grant funding.
And it doesn’t stop there. PP gets federal and state funding, as well as hefty funding from the private sector to advance their anti-birth anti-family agenda. Their “three headed monster approach” is deadly.
If you don’t believe the truth about PP’s philosophy, take a look at this video report from 2012 entitled, “Hooking Kids on Sex II”. It shows how PP uses a similar method employed by drug dealers to get kids hooked on sex which will ultimately lead to unintended pregnancies because a certain percent of contraceptives fail which means more abortion business for them. The popular Pro-life “Blood Money” video confirms this practice.
Using the frog in the hot water analogy, PP has managed to bring the water to a boil to our peril. If you put a frog into a pot of boiling water it will jump right out but put it in a pot of cold water and he or she is content to swim around, testing the water. Then as you turn up the heat slowly, but eventually the frog boils to death not being any the wiser. Well, that’s what PP is doing.
The selling of baby parts for profit is not the only thing PP does that should make you cringe. There is a lot more going on beneath the surface of this evil organization. We’re at the boiling point now but the warming of the water has been going on for years and many didn’t even pay attention. Goodness, there are still so many not paying attention. I hope people wake up before the fabric of our marriages and families erodes into oblivion and society as a whole boils to death.
Although there is so much more we could say about the evils of PP let’s pause with this one note. Just like a little arsenic in a glass of hot chocolate, millions of abortions makes PP a business that the federal government does not need to be funding with our tax dollars.
LET’S PRAY FOR AMERICA AND DEFUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD, NOW!

In part four of the PPH expose by the Center for Medical Progress view undercover conversation with Dr. Savita Ginde, VP/Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) where she talks about coordinating with other Planned Parenthoods making sure that they’re “all saying the same thing, and that the CEOs are all saying the same thing;” and talking about their attorney creating layers so that it doesn’t look like they’re selling baby body parts.
Is PPH switching and padding? Yes – regardless of Cecile Richards’ flimsy defense that the videos are “highly doctored” and “highly edited.” The videos are also posted in their entirety, so her claims that, “it’s not a fee… It’s just the cost of transmitting the material” fall flat and false, because the videos clearly show the doctors negotiating a price at one point – wanting to charge per-item vs. a flat fee for several specimens because “we can see how much we can get out of it.”
PPH gets money from the mother for the abortion; then double-dips by collecting money for the baby body parts from the procurement companies.
“Switching price tags and padding the expense account are two things GOD hates.” – Proverbs 20:10 MSG.
In a news flash, a devil-worshipping group calling itself the Satanic Temple is raising funds to promote abortion-on-demand to counter legal efforts such as the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and 20-week abortion bans. A highly publicized ceremonial unveiling of a satanic figure, an event billed as the “largest public satanic ceremony in history,” sold $25 and $75 tickets, the proceeds of which will be used to support the reproductive rights legal action fund.
Why connect the two? It’s a three headed demonic force.
Again, the pro-life struggle is part of a bigger battle going on in our world – a battle for souls – a battle between good and evil. Many don’t understand; in today’s culture, people like Cecile Richards call evil, good and good, evil. They are backed by so much money; their lying message is repeated so often, people begin to believe it; creating a ball of confusion.
In 1 Kings 18:20-40 ESV, Elijah asked the people: “How long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.”
It quickly becomes clear their “little g gods” have no power. On the other hand, CREATOR GOD proves to be mighty! Read the full passage here.
In closing: “The night is far gone; the day is at hand… let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.” – Romans 13:12 ESV.
“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few;” – Matthew 9:37 ESV.
We need to pray for souls, not kill them for sport and profit.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. – Romans 12:21 ESV.

Just saying the word “Selma” will forever evoke images of baton wielding, gas-masked police chasing men and women who were marching for the right to vote. Fifty years later, there is a darker story that Selma has to tell. It is one of continued violence that targets black and brown pregnant women.
Fr. Terry Gensemer of the Charismatic Episcopal Church for Life reports, “Selma is harboring an illegal abortionist. Samuel Lett is not a licensed abortionist and, yet, by simple observation and documented phone calls, we know there are far more women than allowed by state regulation going into Central Alabama Women’s Clinic with a child in their womb, and coming out with an empty womb.”
The state of Alabama says they are “unable to establish that [Lett’s] facility performed a number of abortions that would require it to be licensed as an abortion or reproductive health center.”
Catherine Davis of the National Black Pro-life Coalition believes Alabama is mimicking Pennsylvania. “Just as Pennsylvania turned a blind eye to the serial killings and violations of Pennsylvania law committed by Kermit Gosnell, Alabama is turning a blind eye to Samuel Lett. We can only wonder if they are doing so because most of the women visiting his facility are Black.”
Members of the pro-life community report that Alabama and Pennsylvania are not alone in ignoring violations of various laws at the state level. Reports are common of abortionists raping women while sedated, failing to report sexual molestation of minors, failing to wait the required time periods and/or notify parents of minors seeking abortions.
Catherine Davis adds, “Despite these types of serious violations of state civil and criminal laws, more often than not, the abortionist is allowed to continue operating without repercussion.”
Women of every color will convene in Selma to rally against states that allow these violations to continue. These women will rally at Christ the King Cathedral to “bring truth regarding the civil wrong of abortion. We unite in prayer to end this terrible scourge,” says Dr. Alveda King, Director of African American Outreach of Priests for Life.

Once, I was invited to officiate at a “baby dedication” for three little children. I thought about Pope Francis saying we have to minister to everyone, not just about abortion and gay marriage, but everything.
That day was a reflection of what I call “God’s garden.” There were agnostics in attendance. There were Catholics, Protestants, and Jews there. I also met Latin-Americans and Germans and African-Americans — all lovely human beings.
Of course we all addressed human issues that day, such as profanity, alcohol, drugs, sexual perversions, abortions, sickness — and in my case, struggling not to overeat all the delicious foods was just torture. What was wonderful was that we were able to lay all of our burdens aside for a few hours in what I call “discovering a pocket of happiness in a messed-up world.”
It was amazing that in the midst of our human condition, we were able to sing, pray, and play together without judgments and condemnation. What a blessing!
During the dedication ceremony, which was held inside the home, with seats of honor for the families, we prayed the “Salvation Prayer,” served “Holy Communion,” sang “The Lord’s Prayer,” and anointed the babies in a ritual including oil, water, and earth. Gifts were given to the babies, parents, grandparents, godparents, and all of the guests.
The families and friends were an ethnic and spiritual blend, reflective of the world today. There were spirited conversations about Christianity, Buddha, and universal truth out in the beautiful garden of the home of our hosts in that Latino township in New Jersey. The meal, which included a type of Spanish rice and other delights, was served inside and outside of the home, and I loved the beautiful colors and flavors infused in the foods, the china, the décor, and the overall atmosphere.
Outside, while early autumn butterflies floated among the fall blossoms, the little children jumped and played in the “Bouncey House” (the type of inflatable playhouse that’s so popular these days). The event took place on the birthday of one of the children, so there was pizza and birthday cake and there was a visit from “Elmo” that had the youngest crying and the older children squealing in delight.
Many of the younger adults were all excited over plans to go to a party in Atlantic City later that night. Of course the grandparents were just as excited about having the job of babysitting while the parents had a “night out.”
One of the personal highlights for me was when I had a moment of reflective joy because some of the parents at the event had contemplated abortion not long ago, and yet there we all were at a baby dedication lifting up our children to God that day. This was the second baby dedication where I was charged to deliver a spiritual blessing. The first was for some of my own grandchildren. This was to my extended community. I was so honored.
I thought about how some of my own children chose life over abortion under a time of social pressure. And I was moved to tears seeing all of these precious babies that day.
English Standard Version
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Psalms 127:3
At the baby dedication, young adult men and women in their late 20s and 30s were referring to each other as “boyfriend and girlfriend.” Yet, they are not boys and girls. This concept of boyfriend and girlfriend is for childish courtships with no sexual interaction. Mind you, there should be no sexual interaction between people who are not united in Holy Matrimony, but that is a topic for another blog. However, I will say this: When we become adults, we should grow out of childish things.
1 Corinthians 13:11 NIV
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.”
At the event, one young man introduced himself like this: “I am her man.” He understood that he was no longer a boy and that he was pursuing a woman, not a girl. I actually have occasion to meet people in their 40s, 50s, and 60s and beyond who are trying to be “boyfriend and girlfriend.” That’s something to blog more about later.
All in all it was a lovely and refreshing occasion. There is still much to be done, teaching morals and values for instance. For example, in his sermon “Rediscovering Lost Values” my Uncle M. L. said we are living in a messed-up world.
“I think we have to look much deeper . . . if we are to find the real cause of man’s problems and the real cause of the world’s ills today. If we are to really find it I think we will have to look in the hearts and souls of men. (Lord help him) . . .
“The trouble isn’t so much that we don’t know enough, but it’s as if we aren’t good enough. The trouble isn’t so much that our scientific genius lags behind, but our moral genius lags behind. (Well) The great problem facing modern man is that. That the means by which we live (Help him God) have outdistanced the spiritual ends for which we live. (That’s right) So we find ourselves caught in a messed-up world. (Well) The problem is with man himself and man’s soul. We haven’t learned how to be just and honest and kind and true and loving. And that is the basis of our problem. The real problem is that through our scientific genius we’ve made of the world a neighborhood, but through our moral and spiritual genius we’ve failed to make of it a brotherhood. (Lord have mercy)” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from “Rediscovering Lost Values.”
Yes, in his sermon Uncle M. L. encouraged us to return to God. That’s a message I’m blessed to deliver. We spent some quality time with God that day. I’m so glad that this family took time out to pray for the babies and for our families.

Most years, I try to attend a “Mother-Daughter Tea” for Mothers’ Day. My Mother and sometimes my daughters and granddaughters join me. We celebrate our joyous relationships. Then on Sundays I participate in a Mother’s Day celebration at church. There is always good singing and Bible teaching. Then we go out to dinner, or cook a yummy dinner at home. God provides many blessings for many families during this time. Yet many mothers and daughters will have a bittersweet weekend.
Across America and the world, millions of aborted baby boys and girls will not feel a mother’s touch because they were silenced by abortion’s sting. Lament and weep for mothers and their children.
Every Mothers Day, there are many prayers for these losses; including those of dear friends and even family members who have lost mothers and children who are deceased by natural causes; as well as some by sickness, accidents, crimes; and yes sadly, by abortion and carcinogenic birth control.
For those who will be celebrating Mother’s Day with your beloved mothers, God bless you. Please remember to say a prayer for those who are not so fortunate; that God will heal our land, our wombs, and our families; and bring an end the scourge of abortion which is at the heart of the war on women.
